Cool Psychology Tricks to Do

  1. Ask someone "What is the word spelled J-O-K-E", make sure they actually say the word. Following ask them "What do you call the white part of the egg?" 
  2. If you ask someone a question and they only partially answer, give them a few seconds. By remaining silent and keeping eye contact they will usually continue talking.
  3. If you want to get ride of an object that you're carrying while walking with someone simply keep talking to that person while handling them the object, most of the times they will take the object without even thinking.
  4. If you are lying always include a detail that sounds embarrassing to you. It makes your story believable.
  5. If you think someone is watching you, look at your watch. If they are indeed watching you they will usually look at their own watch.
  6. During negotiations, practice using silence as a weapon. Most people are uncomfortable with it an they will try to break it by giving up a key point.
  7. Nodding your head while asking a question will make the other person more inclined to agree with you.
  8. When you are in a group and everyone is laughing together, the first person you look at while laughing is usually the person you are closest to.
  9. Smile more and see how good you will feel about yourself, you will make others feel good, and you will make more friends.
  10. People perceive other people with better posture as more important people.
  11. If you are looking at something carefully, skim right to left instead of the usual left to right.
  12. If you make yourself as big as possible – ie. by spreading your arms and legs and cover as much space as you physically can- for two minutes a day, you will get a testosterone and self confidence boost.
  13. If someone is counting and you want to mess up their count. Don't say random numbers like you usually do, say numbers in order because we latch onto patterns.
  14. Looking at someone's forehead when you talk to them will make them feel uncomfortable.
  15. Have someone say a word 20 times as fast as possible, then ask them a question after the word were the answer is closely related to the word and they will miss every single time ie- repeating "Host" Asking "What do you put in a toaster?"
  16. If someone gets up to leave before you are ready, stay seated. Most will sit back down.
  17. When you're at the gym counting your reps down (10, 9, 8) instead of up (1, 2, 3) it will make it easier for you to finish the set.
  18. Ask someone "What;s 44 and a half multiplied by 2?" They will most likely answer 99.
